The preparation time for this recipe is somewhat misleading since most of the preparation for this recipe is accomplished in the meatball
preparation. Still, this makes for a simple-yet-wonderful leftover dish.
We cut our sub roll in half – one half for each of us (Chris gets the larger one, of course). We split open each half. On each, we layer provolone cheese.
We re-heat the meatballs in the microwave, which takes about 5 minutes for us. We want the meatballs hot, but not so hot that they start to dry out.
We put the meatballs on the cheese, cutting some of the meatballs to fit.
