Frozen Banana
When Robin was growing up, Nanny often froze ripe bananas to be eaten as a treat. Nanny still does this, explaining to Robin not to leave the bananas in the freezer too long or they will darken. Recently we had a request from one of Robin's college professors for this recipe. We had made these on an astronomy trip and the unusual dessert left a lasting impression! Originally served as part of Bananas after Panera.
Ingredients
- 1 large ripe banana
- chocolate syrup
Instructions
We peel the banana and wrap it well in aluminum foil. We place in a freezer bag and freeze overnight.
When we want to eat the frozen banana, we peel back the foil and dip in chocolate sauce served in a small prep bowl.
